Laboratory of Molecular Biology
The Molecular Biology Laboratory is provided with high-quality equipment allowing students to acquire knowledge and skills in molecular biology techniques. The laboratory also allows scientists to conduct innovative research in molecular biology.
Serving Scientists
The high-quality equipment in the Molecular Biology Laboratory creates very good conditions for research. Scientists can isolate DNA material, evaluate it, and study the expression of selected genes, their mutations, and polymorphisms. As part of the scientific and research cooperation, the Molecular Biology Laboratory cooperates with other scientific units, including the State Medical University in Lviv. It is part of the Medical Science and Research Consortium of Eastern Poland.
Serving students
Students of the following faculties: Dietetics, Physiotherapy, and Cosmetology can use the laboratory to isolate genetic material and evaluate it. Work with genetic material also includes the study of the influence of various substances on the expression of selected genes. In addition, students gain practical skills in identifying microbiological hazards in food products.
