The Financial Laboratory provides practical knowledge in the financial instrument investment and the stock exchange, simulations of financial transactions professionally, and investment portfolio management.

Why UITM’s Financial Laboratory is unique in Poland?
The Financial Laboratory simulates and applies the state-of-the-art equipment in the implementation of a professional automatic stock exchange transactions. This is first implemented in a university to provide students opportunities to access Warsaw Stock Exchange.
Serving scientists:
The Financial Laboratory allows scientists to conduct scientific research related to broadly understood finance with the use of automatic stock exchange transactions.
In particular, it enables research in such areas as:
• managing personal finances and home budget
• broadly understood financial and economic analysis
• research on the behavior of financial and capital markets
• technical analysis in financial markets
• fundamental analysis of the capital market
• creating business models (used for simulation games)
• creating mathematical models to be used in banking
• testing the volatility of financial instruments
• research in the field of behavioral finance
• programming of automatic stock exchange transactions (investment robots)

Students can use equipment comparable to those used in real trading rooms to get a sense of ambiance. During the course, students will learn about:
- personal finance management and budget planning
- • financial and economic analysis of the enterprise
- • technical and fundamental analysis of financial markets
- • behavioral finance and investment psychology
- • advanced strategies and investment systems
Equipment:
- 24 computer terminals are equipped with investment platforms that enable fundamental and technical analysis development.
• Each computer is equipped with the Office suite, particularly Excel – the most important tool for a financier.
• Wall panel – Data Wall consists of six smaller displays. Each of them shows different financial information and allows you to track the behavior of the stock market of the country of interest.
• A multi-media board (smart board) that enables ongoing research on the behavior of an interesting value. The laboratory also offers business channels as part of satellite digital TV. The equipment was provided by a company that provided similar solutions for the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
